Home Craftology Tracking

This policy covers the Home Craftology Tracking application described on the home page. Privacy practices for the online store itself are covered by the store privacy policy.

Who operates this application

Home Craftology, an online retailer based in Australia. The application is operated for our own business use. It has no external users.

What data it handles

Order and product data from our own Shopify store: order totals, line items, product costs and currency.
Marketing touchpoints for visits to our store: referring source, UTM parameters, advertising click identifiers and timestamps.
Customer contact details from our own orders — email address, phone number, name and address. These are irreversibly hashed with SHA-256 before being sent to any advertising platform, in the format each platform requires for matching.
Advertising performance data read from our own advertising accounts: cost, impressions and clicks. This contains no personal information.

What it does not do

It collects no data from anyone who is not a visitor or customer of our own store.
It does not sell, rent or share data with anyone, and there is no third party with access to it.
It reads no Google account data, no Google user profile and no data belonging to any advertiser other than Home Craftology.

Where data is stored

In our own Cloudflare account, in a database and object store that only this application and its operators can reach. Credentials for connected platforms are held as encrypted secrets and are never exposed by the application.

Retention

Order, touchpoint and advertising data is retained for as long as it is useful for historical reporting. Raw event archives are retained for restating attribution when a model changes. Data relating to a customer is deleted on request.
